Achieving Social Benefits through Procurement

Building a fair, inclusive and sustainable Victoria through procurement

The Victorian Government has just launched its Social Procurement Framework (SPF).  The SPF aims to ensure value for money considerations are not solely focused on price but incorporate a balanced judgment of a range of financial and non-financial factors.  The SPF covers the procurement of goods, services and public construction.


Each Victorian Government department and agency is required to prepare a Social Procurement Strategy which includes consideration of how they propose to implement the SPF’s requirements through organisational planning, implementation (including building capability and measuring) and reporting on outcomes.
